A simple simulation for chemical equilibrium

Abstract

The core idea is that per unit of time a fixed fraction of reactant molecules react and forms products. And of these product molecules, also a fixed fraction reacts back and forms reactants. But the fraction for reactant molecules differs from the fraction of product molecules. The simulation makes clear what the consequences are.
